La Fi\u00e8vre de l’Or \u00e9tait un petit jeu d’ench\u00e8res assez original, con\u00e7u avec Bruno Cathala, paru en 2004. L’\u00e9diteur fran\u00e7ais ne le r\u00e9imprimera sans doute pas et l’\u00e9diteur am\u00e9ricain a disparu sans laisser d’adresse.<\/p>\n

Qu’importe, puisque le jeu est ressorti \u2026 mais pour l’instant uniquement en Polonais, et avec un th\u00e8me enti\u00e8rement diff\u00e9rent. Les mines d’or sont en effet devenues des navires de pirates dont les joueurs vont recruter l’\u00e9quipage pour \u00e9cumer les mers du sud. Pour le reste, les r\u00e8gles ne changent pas.<\/p>\n

L’\u00e9diteur est Egmont, l’un des premiers \u00e9diteurs de jeux de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 polonais, qui publie d\u00e9j\u00e0 une tr\u00e8s belle \u00e9dition locale de Key Largo. Bref, des gens qui ont l’air d’aimer les bateaux, les pirates, les \u00eeles et les mers du sud \u2026 Les illustrations, superbes, sont l’\u0153uvre de Maciej Szymanowicz (je sais comment \u00e7a se prononce, mais je ne vous le dirai pas).<\/p>\n

Some of you may remember Boomtown, a card game I designed with Bruno Cathala, which was published in 2004. The French publisher won’t reprint it, and the US publisher simply vanished in the air.<\/em><\/p>\n

Anyway, Boomtown is back\u2026 but only in Polish so far, and with a completely different theme. Gold mines are now pirate ships, with their crews, and the players are hiring them to roam the southern seas. As for the rules, no change.<\/em><\/p>\n

The publisher is Egmont, one of the main Polish boardgame publishers, who already published the really nice looking local version of Key Largo. They seem to like ships, pirates, islands and southern seas. The gorgeous graphics are by Maciej Szymanowicz. I know exactly how it’s supposed to be pronunced, but I won’t reveal it here.<\/em><\/p>\n
